‘Dollhouse’ canceled: Are we peeved or pleased by this development?
PopWatch —
... from a show that, let’s be frank, was never going to climb out of the hole it was in. Dollhouse had too much viewer attrition and too little network support. It’ll let him chase down the myriad other things he could be doing — writing more comics, making more Web content, and, perhaps (as more than a few people have suggested) getting in bed with a cable network that’ll give him the latitude to do what he likes, how he likes. As for what Whedon’ll do next, here’s what he posted on Whedonesque : “I’m off to pursue internet ventures/binge drinking. Possibly that relaxation ...

... has flushed out the info on its limited future. The remaining nine episodes will air two at a time December 4th, 11th, and 18th with the final three airing starting January 8th. The crew is currently shooting the 11th episode which will give the writers time to adjust for a series finale. If you're interested in Joss Whedon's reaction, he commented over at Whedonesque.com stating how proud he is of everyone working on the show, joking a bit, and vows "By the time the last episode airs, you'll know what my next project is." Though I'm very sad that FOX continues to blow ...

Dollhouse creator Joss Whedon posted the following at Whedonesque.com : I don't have a lot to say. I'm extremely proud of the people I've worked ...
Dollhouse Cancelled
Dollhouse Fantasies —
Sadly, it would appear that Fox has given up on Dollhouse. According to Joss Whedon’s blog:
I don’t have a lot to say. I’m extremely proud of the people I’ve worked with: my star, my staff, my cast, my crew. I feel the show is getting better pretty much every week, and I think you’ll agree in the coming months. I’m grateful that we got to put it on, and then come back and put it on again.
I’m off to pursue internet ventures/binge drinking. Possibly that relaxation thing I’ve read so much about. By the ...

... . Given the weak ratings, the cancellation shouldn’t come as much of a surprise to most. As promised, Fox maintains that they will air all produced episodes — 13 — and the show will return with original episodes on December 4th as planned (back-to-back episodes from 8:00-10:00 p.m.). Creator/executive producer Joss Whedon wrote the following message on Whedonesque about the show’s cancellation: Hmm. Apparently my news is not news. I don’t have a lot to say. I’m extremely proud of the people I’ve worked with: my star, my staff, my cast, my crew. I feel the show is getting ...
